Grief Guidance

Throughout my life, grief has been one of my greatest teachers. Having experienced several deaths of loved ones, loss of beloved pets, heartbreak, divorce, unwanted endings, painful transitions, I know firsthand how excruciating and debilitating grief can be. Each of these experiences has shaped my life and left me forever changed.

The truth is that loss is inevitable. We will all experience grief at some point in our life, and everyone’s experience, and every loss, will be as unique as the individual experiencing it. We are not, however, always prepared for how to navigate the grief that comes after loss.

As a grief guide, I offer one-on-one support, personalized to your specific needs, to help you move forward after experiencing loss. Grief needs to be witnessed as part of the healing process, and I provide a compassionate space for you to share your story. Together we will set realistic goals to help you rediscover a life that feels nourishing. You will develop tools to help you cope and build resilience through the process.

Unprocessed grief is heavy and can keep you feeling stuck. Regardless of if the loss was months or even years ago, these feelings and emotions can weigh you down. You do not have to carry the weight alone. Allow me to help you lighten the load and guide you along your journey through grief.

 

  • Single sessions are suggested for when you need:

    • Direction when feeling lost in the earlier stages of grief.

    • Guidance with anticipatory grief, or the grief that comes before the loss occurs. Think of this as the feelings that come when you are watching a loved one with a terminal illness, or if you are that someone with the illness.

    • Space to process your experience with someone outside of your immediate support circle. A griever cannot support your grief process. If your main support person has also been impacted by the loss that you experienced, it will likely be helpful to seek support elsewhere.

  • The Grief Journey is a series of 8 sessions designed to help you navigate grief and envision how you want to live your life after experiencing loss. Together we will set realistic goals to allow you to take the steps needed to rebuild a life of meaning. You will develop coping strategies to support you along the way. This series is best suited for those who feel emotionally ready to actively work through their grief and have moved through the initial shock of their loss.
